What are Digital Download Masterclasses?
Following the highly successful Digital Download interactive conference in April 2017, Digital Download Masterclasses are standalone social and digital media workshops that provide a deep dive into specific topics.
Each session is a three hour interactive workshop where you are guided in detail through a specific social media or digital media topic area. They are devised specifically to arm you with the hands-on experience you need to take your knowledge to the next level and to inform your continued learning and development. Highly practical in nature, you’ll spend much of your time at a Digital Download Masterclass working on your laptop as you are guided through the ins and outs of SEO or measurement or creative techniques.
In each digital or social media workshop you can use your own real-life data, which may be your own or a client’s (if possible), or you will be provided with everything you need. Either way, you’ll get your hands dirty!
Who are they for?
If you work in public relations or communications at any level, then a Digital Download Masterclass will benefit you. You do not need to have attended the Digital Download interactive conference as these are completely standalone workshops. You can book one Masterclass independently or you can book more than one together as a series of training events. Each workshop is strictly limited to just 15 people.
Your ticket to any of the workshops also includes entry to the Digital Download Facebook Group. This is a private community of people who have attended a Digital Download event where members can interact and support one another, ask questions and keep up with the latest digital communications news.
SEO for PR People
Comprehensive 3 hour interactive workshop covering how PR and SEO work together and the basics of search engines; online behaviour and the decision making process; how Google works and the relative importance of different search engine ranking factors; on-site optimisation (meta-data, H tags, link structures etc) and a look at html/coding; keyword research and planning; off-site optimisation and link building; building SEO into PR campaigns, including website evaluation, domain authority and no-follow links; Google Analytics, trackable links, goal setting and attribution analysis. Questions and discussion are encouraged throughout, and you will need to bring a laptop to work from as the course involves a practical workshop session where you will develop the basics of a PR SEO campaign.
Digital Media Evaluation
3 hour interactive deep dive into both content marketing metrics and business ROI. The course covers an introduction to the 4R model of evaluation and how to build your own bespoke measurement framework; what you should and should not measure in social media; making sense of Facebook analytics and knowing what’s important; Twitter metrics and analysis; how to measure Instagram; evaluating blogs and owned content; an introduction to Google Analytics; and using Google Goals and attribution analysis, and tracking correlations. You will need to bring a laptop to work from as the course involves many practical elements and, if possible, you can log in to your own or a client’s social media profiles to use live data (data will be provided if this is not available). Questions and discussion are encouraged throughout.
