I’m taking a break from the normal routine in this week’s episode of Digital Drive Time (which also means, to the relief of some, a break from singing…) to talk about this week’s FutureComms conference, organised superbly again by MyNewsDesk.
#FC16 was held at BAFTA on Wednesday and proved to be the most positive and productive conference I’ve been to in at least two years. Driven by an extremely well-balanced and diverse base of speakers, the conference took a really good look at the way we (you and me) can drive the communications industry forward.
The topics covered included (among others) influencer marketing, gender diversity, social media crisis management, creativity, evaluation, branding and some great conversations around where the industry should be going and, importantly, how to get there.
I was fortunate enough to be asked to speak at the event, and I also took part in a dramatic live crisis simulation on stage run by the guys at Polpeo that was extremely well-received by the audience. I haven’t covered either those in this week’s Digital Drive Time as that’d be rather self-serving, but will discuss both sessions in upcoming blog posts.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback – just drop a comment below!
Digital Drive Time is also published direct to my Facebook Page, at www.facebook.com/paulsuttonltd, where I share more thoughts, news and ideas throughout the week. Go and ‘Like’ it…you know it makes sense 😉
